Welcome to Do Guatemala, a local Destination Management Company based in Quetzaltenango. Since 2012, we have been helping travelers discover Guatemala through authentic, personal and meaningful experiences.

From tailor-made holidays and private tours to volunteering programs and Spanish language courses, we create experiences that allow you to discover Guatemala beyond the typical tourist route. Whether you want to explore ancient Mayan sites, hike through the highlands, relax around Lake Atitlán or connect with local communities, we help you experience the country in a way that suits you.

Do Guatemala is led by Petra Post, together with our two permanent team members and interns who join us throughout the year.

We are intentionally a small team. This allows us to stay closely involved with our travelers and local partners, respond quickly and give every trip a personal touch. From the first idea for your trip to the moment you return home, there is always a real person behind your experience.

Petra is the heart of Do Guatemala and has been involved with the company since its beginnings. With years of experience and a deep knowledge of Guatemala, she leads the company while making sure the personal approach of Do Guatemala remains at the center of everything we do.

Karen is the person behind the first steps of your journey with Do Guatemala. From your initial inquiry to creating your itinerary, she helps turn your ideas into a trip that matches your interests, travel style and budget. With a personal approach and attention to detail, she makes sure every trip starts off on the right foot.

Logistics & Volunteer Coordinator

 Alejandra makes sure everything comes together behind the scenes. She coordinates with guides, transport providers, accommodations and other local partners to keep your trip running smoothly. She also takes care of our volunteer programs, supporting volunteers throughout their experience and staying connected with the local projects we work with.
